Republic Day 2023: When Is Flag Hoisting?
On Republic Day 2023, the flag-hoisting ceremony is scheduled to start at 8 am. At 9:30 am, the parade will begin. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make his customary trip to the Amar Jawan Jyoti.

As per the protocol, the President of India, Droupadi Murmu will hoist the National Flag at Rajpath in New Delhi and after that, the National Anthem by all the other people present there collectively stand and sing the national anthem.

Culture activity
During the Republic Day Parade, 23 tableaux, consisting of 17 from states and Union Territories and 6 from various Ministries and Departments, will be showcased on the Kartavya Path, highlighting the nation’s cultural heritage, economic and social progress and strong internal and external security.
On 74th Republic Day, a variety of traditional dance forms will be presented, including Gaurr Maria, Siddi Dhamal, Baiga Pardhoni, Purulia, Bagurumba, Ghusadi, Balti, Lambadi, Paika, Gaddi Nati, Rathwa, Budigali, Songimukhawate, Karma, Mangho, and Ka Shad Mastieh among others.
Republic Day parade
Parade, march past by various regiments of the Indian Army, Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force is held in Delhi`s Rajpath. It shows the diplomatic power to give a message to the world that we are capable of our defense.
The Indian armed forces will display their skill and strength through various performances such as Horse Show, Khukuri Dance, Gatka, Mallakhamb, Kalaripayattu, Thang-ta, Motorcycle Display, Air Warrior Drill, Navy Band and martial arts. Additionally, 20 tribal dance groups from across the country will perform during the military tattoo event.
Vande Bharatam 2.0
During the Republic Day parade, 503 dancers will perform a grand cultural show centered around the theme of “Nari Shakti”. These dancers were chosen by a jury from the final round of the Vande Bharatam dance competition, which took place in New Delhi on December 19-20 and featured 980 participants.
