India will celebrate its 74th Republic Day of India on January, 26, 2023 this year to commemorate the adoption of Indian constitution by Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949 and it came into effect on 26 January 1950.
In Chhattisgarh state, 74th Republic Day of India on January, 26, 2023 will be celebrated at the capital city, Raipur, at police ground. The parade will feature a display of the state’s cultural heritage, traditional dances, and performances by local artists.

The Vande Bharatam Dance Festival has been allotted to Chhattisgarh as a part of the Republic Day celebrations in 2023, which is a matter of pride for Chhattisgarh. In fact, the cultural ministry of the Government of India has organized the Vande Bharatam Dance Festival in various stages in order to enhance the spirit of ‘people’s participation’ in the celebration of the nectar of freedom.
On the day of the Republic Day, the selection for the parade of the students of NCC and NSS has been done for the parade to be held on Rajpath (New Delhi). On January 26, for the first time, 30 cadets from Chhattisgarh will be showing their presence at the parade. Last year, only nine NCC cadets took part. This year, 121 cadets from Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh units will be showcasing their parade.
Republic Day 2023: When Is Flag Hoisting?
On Republic Day 2023, the flag-hoisting ceremony is scheduled to start at 8 am. At 9:30 am, the parade will begin. As per the protocol, the Governor of Chhatisgarh, Ms. Anusuiya Uike will hoist the National Flag hoists the National Flag at police ground in Raipur and after that, the National Anthem by all the other people present there collectively stand and sing the national anthem.

The parade will include participation of various security forces such as CRPF, CISF, ITBP, Jail Battalion, Home Guard, STF Commandos, BSF and ITBP and other security forces.
